What are the applicable scenarios of fine bubble diffuser?

Fine bubble diffuser are mainly applied to biochemical wastewater treatment requiring high oxygen transfer efficiency. They are especially suitable for newly-built large-scale wastewater treatment plants, reconstruction of old tanks and intermittent operating conditions, and also used in oxygenation fermentation and ozone disinfection processes.
1. Main Applicable Scenarios
Municipal Wastewater Treatment
New construction, expansion and renovation of aeration tanks for urban domestic sewage to supply oxygen for aerobic biochemical reactions.
Industrial Wastewater Treatment
Biochemical treatment systems for wastewater with high COD loads from petrochemical, printing and dyeing, papermaking, slaughtering, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Energy-saving Renovation Projects
Used to replace mechanical aeration equipment or low-efficiency diffusers. Its oxygen transfer efficiency of 25%–35% reduces energy consumption with prominent advantages in the initial operation stage.
Intermittent Operating Conditions
Equipped with self-sealing pores to prevent backflow, making them ideal for aeration tanks with discontinuous operation.
Special Process Requirements
Ozone contact disinfection for drinking water and reclaimed water reuse, as well as oxygen supply and stirring in biological fermentation tanks.

2. Applicable Conditions and Limitations
Water Depth Requirement
The applicable service water depth of fine bubble diffuser is generally 3–5 meters. Higher utilization efficiency can be achieved at greater water depth due to longer rising path of air bubbles and sufficient contact between gas and water.
Operation and Maintenance
The diaphragms are prone to sludge clogging and aging with a service life of approximately 3–5 years. They are not applicable to direct discharge of wastewater with long-term high suspended solids without pre-treatment, and regular cleaning or replacement is required.
Installation Environment
Fine bubble diffuser shall be installed after civil engineering completion and before water filling to avoid damage caused by welding sparks or heavy objects. Annular air distribution pipelines are recommended for balanced pressure distribution.
