Troubleshooting for Common Failures of Aeration Equipment

1.Uneven local aeration
Check whether the corresponding branch pipes are blocked and whether the diaphragms are damaged. Clean sediments inside the pipes and replace damaged aerators. Adjust the installation height of all aeration equipment to the same horizontal plane to eliminate local dead zones.

‌2.Abnormal bubble condition
If bubbles are excessively large, inspect whether the aerator diaphragms have aged with enlarged micropores, and replace diaphragms with lost elasticity promptly. If bubbles are too small, check for insufficient inlet air pressure or micropores fully blocked by scaling, and perform backwashing to remove blockages as appropriate.

3.‌Sludge bulking / abnormal foaming
In case of filamentous sludge bulking, appropriately reduce the organic loading of the aeration tank and adjust DO to a reasonable range to avoid microbial flora imbalance caused by long-term low-oxygen operation. When a large amount of surfactant foam accumulates, start the scum removal device in time to prevent foam overflow and blockage of surrounding equipment.
